Dog Day a Big Success

More than a hundred dogs in all shapes and sizes, along with their  owners, turned out for the first ever Dog Day at the Adventure Park at Skibowl on Sunday for  a fun run/walk to benefit the Oregon Guide Dogs for the Blind.  Walkers chose from a 1, 2 or 6 mile  hike in the Mt. Hood National Forest, then enjoyed vendors, raffles, a dog friendly beer garden and  best pet trick contests.  Kirk Hanna, the owner of the Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl has pledged proceeds of the event to support the Guide Dog program. Watch for this to become an annual event.
